CCIS operates a number of academic programs, fellowship opportunities and research initiatives at the forefront of comparative migration research.

These include:

  • Fellowships that allow migration scholars from around the world the opportunity to come to our institute to work on their research, and benefit from the center’s collaborative environment.

  • With the Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies, CCIS collaborates on the interdisciplinary M.A. Program in Latin American Studies with specialization in International Migration.

  • Our undergraduate minor in International Migration Studies for UCSD undergraduate students is only the program of its kind in the United States.
