The CERC Migration Exchange Fellowship Program

The CERC Migration Exchange Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for exceptional advanced PhD students (3rd year or later), post-doctoral fellows and early career researchers from Toronto Metropolitan University and UC San Diego to participate in a one-month research exchange. The CERC Migration Exchange Fellowship Program offers a stipend to both the outgoing and incoming Visiting Fellows, along with a travel allowance, to cover for the expenses related to their stay abroad. Funding for this opportunity is provided by Toronto Metropolitan University.

The purpose of the CERC Migration Exchange Fellowship Program is to promote international collaboration and knowledge exchange among Canadian and international academic institutions and provide research training and professional development opportunities for early-career scholars in migration research.

The Exchange Fellow will be hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University for a period of up to 35 days. Timing of a visit will be arranged by the mentor/supervisor at Toronto Metropolitan University. The duration of stay may vary from 20 to 35 days. This program is currently available through February 28, 2026.
